Cami and Simon

Just playing a bit with one of my "younger" couples today. I think Cami and Simon make quite a striking pair.
I always loved Francie almost better than Barbie when I was younger. The Antoinette/Cami line reminds me a lot of the "Francie" line. Maybe that's why I enjoy these dolls so much. I"m hoping to be able to pick up a few more of the separate outfits at the end of the year.

A beautiful new addition.......

This beautiful lady arrived recently. She's the first repaint I've bought in quite a while, but when I saw her posted FS on LN Harris' site right after I received the gorgeous little Willow in the mail as a gift from a dear friend, I knew I had to have Shye to be Willow's mom.
I couldn't be more pleased with how they look together. They really look related IMHO.

The gorgeous Ian, a repainted Jeremy by Tracy Weston, rounds out the family (for now anyway). I may have to add an additional sibling when the right one comes along.

For now, I think these 3 make a wonderful addition to my group of families.

Getting ready for Christmas

I finally got most of my doll families dressed and ready for their Christmas pictures, so since I had some decent light this morning I thought I would get started on the pictures. This family was my very first Kish/Tonner family. Winter Riley was my very first Kish doll and she's still a favorite. The girls dresses were made by the very talented Janice Mundy.
I thought Alice deserved a picture of her own, since she looks so pretty in her new dress from Janice. I really don't take that many pictures of the girls this size, but Alice is my favorite sculpt in this size range.

Mitch and Tara posing in front of the tree.

And the Riley that started it all, Winter Riley in her Christmas plaid from Janice.

Jacob and Bella..........

Just a couple of pictures of Jacob with Bella. Jacob is the new doll on the block and I was just enjoying a bit of playtime with him. I really wish Tonner would do a long haired version of Jake on the Matt body. I"m not a huge fan of the Superhero body. I dislike how far the arms stick out from the body.
Tonner did do a good job of capturing Taylor Lautner's likeness though, IMHO. In fact, I think the likenesses for most all of the dolls in the Twilight line have been good.

Ellowyne in white

Played with Ellowyne a bit over the weekend. Tatters redressed in "She Wallows in White".
I don't play with my Ellowyne's as much as my other dolls, but I love Tatters..........and I REALLY love the clothing line for Ellowyne.

The vampire and the werewolf........

I have been waiting to add Jacob to my collection...........hopeing to eventually catch him on sale, so when TOnner had the big black Friday sale, I couldn't resist adding him and Alice too. Keeping fingers crossed that the newest Edward and Bella will go on sale again when my funds replinish a bit.
I'm really pleased with both dolls. I hope Tonner will offer more separate outfits for the Superhero body. It seems the 2 male outfits he offered this year are sold out most everywhere. I"m keeping my fingers crossed that means he will offer more in 2011.

Alice is so pretty..........her wig is wonderful and the outfit is really wonderful as well.

Let's hear it for the men........

I've been changing some of my guys into their winter attire and decided to take new pics of a few of my repainted guys. First up is Qhuinn by the fabulous Sonya Giddens.
Next is Ian, a repainted Jeremy by Tracy Weston.

And last on the sharing list for today, Alger, a repainted Prince by Beautifulfaces. All 3 of these artists paint drop dead gorgeous men. I feel really lucky to have these gorgeous guys in my collection;

A favorite couple..........

This weekend I began dressing my doll families for Christmas. Since I have several doll families now, it takes a while to get them all ready. While also getting out some of my Christmas decorations for the house, I decided to get an early start on my doll family Christmas pictures this year.
One of my favorite couples is Friday and Russell. The Friday Foster sculpt is so beautiful. She's my favorite AA sculpt that Tonner has done to date. I wish he would bring her back and incorporate her into Tyler's world somehow.

Counting dolly blessings......

First, I have to just say that dolly friends are the absolute best! In the 15 years or so that I've been collecting dolls I have been so blessed to meet some of the warmest, kindest, caring people through this hobby. My love of dolls has allowed me to meet others that are like minded that live throughout the world. Pretty amazing!! One of those amazingly kind people recently sent this beautiful little girl to me as a surprise gift.
I have admired her for quite a while, and her previous owner knew that...........imagine my surprise when she showed up, unexpected on my doorstep a couple of days ago. There aren't words to express my gratitude. I was dumbstruck! So, on this Thanksgiving weekend, I just wanted to say how THANKFUL I am be in a hobby with so many wonderful people. Willow, this beautiful little Kish repaint by LN Harris, will be forever cherished in my collection, and every time I look at her I will remember her previous owner's generosity and friendship, smile and count my blessings.

The Potter crowd........

The family went to see the new Harry Potter movie yesterday and it put me in a bit of a Potter mood, so I decided to play with my indoor lights and take a few pictures of the Potter crowd last night. As I stated before, I never bought all the dolls in the original size. I do have Draco that isn't pictured here, but I don't have any of the adults.

Hubby is getting me the 12" Ron and Harry for Christmas and I can't wait to get Dumbledore as well. Really, really looking for lots more to come in the new scale. That being said, I do love the original dolls too. I think the likenesses were really well done and the costumes are wonderful.

Romantic Muse............

Just a few new shots of one of my favorite Antointette's, Cameo Muse, wearing one of my favorite Cami fashions, Romantic.
She's wearing a Tonner wig that came with one of the Trends dolls a couple of years back.

I rather like her as a redhead.

The beautiful Paris.....

Just a couple of shots of Madame Alexander's Paris wearing Vibrant Vision.............one of my most beautiful Alexander gowns.
It was good reconnecting a bit with my Alexander girls over the past weekend. Madame Alexander really did produce some of the nicest, edgiest clothing in the 16" doll world. Paris is one of my favorite of all the AA sculpts on the market too.

Appreciating Alex............

Decided to photograph a couple of my MA Alex line dolls this weekend. These 2 are display dolls that never get their clothes changed. I love them too much as is. First up is Music Video Awards Alex wearing the Golden Lotus outfit.
The Alex line has some of the most fabulous fashions ever produced in the fashion doll world, IMHO. Wonderful fabrics, great accessories and cutting edge style.

Velvet Ropes Jadde is one of the most beautiful Jadde dolls produced IMHO.

Ginny comes to town........

I've been planning to add Ginny to my Harry Potter collection since her introduction, but I admit to waiting for a sale. When Cherished Friends put her on sale this week I had to go for it.
She arrived today and I took her outside for a few quick pics...............Harry came along and was included in this shot.

I really do like her. She rounds out the shelf in my cabinet devoted to the original Potter collection quite nicely. I"m planning on getting most of the new scale Potter collection as long as my pocketbook holds out. Really looking forward to what comes next.

Professor McGonagall..........

I've been a huge fan of the Harry Potter books and movies since the beginning. I remember being so thrilled to hear Tonner had gotten the license to produce the dolls, and then a bit disappointed when I heard they were going to be a different scale than the Tyler Wentworth line.
I ended up caving and getting Harry, Hermione and Ron from the original line, and then added Draco as well. I never bought any of the adults though, because they were too big for the shelves in my cabinet. At Toy Fair this year, when I heard that Tonner was going to redo the line and make the dolls in scale with Tyler's world, I knew I was going to be in trouble. Recently I brought the first doll to be produced in the new scale , Professor McGonagall.

I really like her! I"m very excited to see Harry and Ron when they start shipping. I have heard that Hermione is definetely coming as well, and I was also told that Tonner confirmed he would be doing Dumbledore in this new size. One can only hope Voldemort, the Elder Malfoy and Bellatrix will be redone in this size as well......................................and how about the rest of the kids. I'm really hoping for Draco at least, as well as maybe Neville? And how about Mr. and Mrs. Weasley............wouldn't that be fun? Yay for Harry Potter!!

Artemis...........

I wasn't going to "go there".........I haven't bought a 13" size fashion doll in several years. I was determined not to get sucked into the new Revlon line. I thought I was safe as I really am not a fan of the 13" Revlon sculpt, then I saw Artemis.
I really love some of the clothing in the 13" line, so when I saw Artemis FS on Tonner Direct, in a moment of weakness I caved and ordered her. She arrived today, and she's really beautiful. Her body is a miniature version of Antionette's body. She's so fun to pose and play with..........and she can sit like a lady.

At least I'll have a model to wear some of the cool clothing Tonner has for this size now. I think I'm acutally going to have a lot of fun with this one.

My Telltale Heart.........

A new Ellowyne arrived on my doorstep today, My Telltale Heart. I"ve been keeping down the Ello herd by selling the nude dolls whenever I buy a doll I like to get the outfit. Since Ellowyne's debut, I've managed to keep only 1.
I had every intention of unpacking this one, stripping her and then packing her back up to sell.........................until I opened the box and saw her, LOL! She's so different than any of the other Ellowyne's produced to this point. Her skintone is VERY pale..........almost white..............the hairstyle is gorgeous as well. I never thought I would like the inset eyes. As a collector of BJDs I love to be able to "adjust" the eyes myself, Ello's don't bother me as much as I thought they would.

I've decided she's going to stick around and be the model for my gothier looking outfits. I think she will be great in "Chills" and "Nevermore". It's about time that Tatters got a friend anyway.
