A Little Something Extra

I picked up an impulse purchase while out at the grocery store last week. I saw her on the shelf and just couldn't resist bringing her home. My first girls from the Barbie Extra line. I thought the coat would be fun for Poppy and some of my NuFace girls, but I also loved her "poofs" as well and thought she would be fun to play with and restyle.  I'm a sucker for red, and love the colorful coat, it just called to me loudly. I don't know that I will pick up any of the rest of them, but I unpacked this one yesterday and got her in front of the camera and I do like her quite a lot, even if her "poofs" are a little unruly on mine. She comes with a little dog wearing sunglasses, that are non removeable by the way.

Under the coat she wears a cute red long sleeve crop tee with "Love" on the banding. The same banding is also on the shorts. Both pieces I can see working for mix and match potential. She is on the original articulated body. I wish they had used the made to move body, but the hands are prettier on this body at least.

This morning I decided to do some redressing so put her in a dress from an old "Spiegel" Barbie. Since the material is stretchy it works for her even though the original doll was on the larger bust Barbie body.

She really does have quite a pretty face, and the make up is well done for a play line doll available at a $24.99 price point. All in all I think she is a keeper.

Beach Babe Poppy

Yesterday,  the NuFace basic Integrity doll was on topic, today I spent time with another Integrity basic, Beach Babe Poppy.  I love Poppy, and have wanted one that could do double duty as a contemporary girl.  I thought this one might do nicely since her hair wasn't specifically  in a period style. Her eye makeup was also a little edgier (although I had a few doubts that the eye makeup extending beyond the brow line might bug me, in person it really doesn't at all). Her makeup gives her an older vibe, which I really like. Here is a closeup I took of her upon her arrival.  Her gingham swim suit is adorable!

We have had a couple of redress sessions since she moved in and she's proving to be pretty versatile. Here she is in a Barbie ensemble. I love that she came on the high heel foot body, as she can wear most all my Barbie shoes!

Today we tried NuFace Eden's Wouldn't it be Loverly on for size.

I quite like her in pink, and think she is definitely Loverly! I am really looking forward to seeing the basic choices to be released in the other lines. So far, I have been really pleased with IT's choices!

Natural High Lilith

Last week another basic doll from Integrity went on sale, this time from the NuFace line, her name is Natural High Lilith. A beautiful version of  one of the very popular Blair twins, Lilith has the light honey skin tone and long raven center parted hair. Designed by Jessy Ayala, she is confirmed to be the sister to the very popular Changing Winds Eden from the 2017 Fashion Fairytale convention.  Here is Integrity's shot of Changing Winds Eden:

And here is the newly released basic Natural High Lilith. Photo also by Integrity. I do not have Changing Winds, but was very happy to add Natural High to my collection.

Natural High arrived yesterday and she did not disappoint. I put her in a new outfit which also recently arrived by Yoisrus on Etsy. I though the bold colors with browns and pinks suited her well.

She is a stunning doll and I'm very happy to have been able to add her to my collection. I hope Integrity restocks her quickly so that those that missed out on her during her initial sales period will be able to get her fairly quickly. The beauty of the basics series is that Integrity has promised to restock them when they sell out, so no need to go to Ebay and pay inflated prices.

Those that are patient will be able to add this beauty at the issue price of $99 plus shipping. You can even add your name to a waitlist notification list to be notified when she comes back in stock. See the note at the bottom of her sale listing for instructions to put your name on the waitlist.

And one last shot of Lilith with Tajinder from the Monarch's line from Integrity.
