I've been a huge fan of the Harry Potter books and movies since the beginning. I remember being so thrilled to hear Tonner had gotten the license to produce the dolls, and then a bit disappointed when I heard they were going to be a different scale than the Tyler Wentworth line.
I ended up caving and getting Harry, Hermione and Ron from the original line, and then added Draco as well. I never bought any of the adults though, because they were too big for the shelves in my cabinet. At Toy Fair this year, when I heard that Tonner was going to redo the line and make the dolls in scale with Tyler's world, I knew I was going to be in trouble. Recently I brought the first doll to be produced in the new scale , Professor McGonagall.
I really like her! I"m very excited to see Harry and Ron when they start shipping. I have heard that Hermione is definetely coming as well, and I was also told that Tonner confirmed he would be doing Dumbledore in this new size. One can only hope Voldemort, the Elder Malfoy and Bellatrix will be redone in this size as well......................................and how about the rest of the kids. I'm really hoping for Draco at least, as well as maybe Neville? And how about Mr. and Mrs. Weasley............wouldn't that be fun? Yay for Harry Potter!!

ReplyDeleteThank you Rosemary! I love the new size too. I just hope he revisits Dumbledore,Snape, Lucious and Draco Malfoy and the rest of the kids in this size. Plus I'm hoping for new characters in this size range too.
ReplyDeleteHi there Tonner is having a sale and i wanted IRL images of McG bfore dropping that much cash. Do you still like this doll? I didnt like how they did Hermione/DHallows (square jaw) and in your pics McG's bustline is quite umm prominent? Is that the picture or is she really like that? thanks
