In honor of Memorial Day

I know I haven't posted for a while, my BJD's have taken the majority of my attention these days. I did however get inspired this morning to redresh my Kish kids and take a few photos in honor of Memorial Day.

These 2 cuties are both painted by LN Harris. Lace (left) is a former Pippi, and Willow (right) is a former Avery.

Happy Memorial Day weekend to everyone! THank you to all that serve/have served in the military.

A beautiful new addition.......

This beautiful lady arrived recently. She's the first repaint I've bought in quite a while, but when I saw her posted FS on LN Harris' site right after I received the gorgeous little Willow in the mail as a gift from a dear friend, I knew I had to have Shye to be Willow's mom.
I couldn't be more pleased with how they look together. They really look related IMHO.

The gorgeous Ian, a repainted Jeremy by Tracy Weston, rounds out the family (for now anyway). I may have to add an additional sibling when the right one comes along.

For now, I think these 3 make a wonderful addition to my group of families.

Counting dolly blessings......

First, I have to just say that dolly friends are the absolute best! In the 15 years or so that I've been collecting dolls I have been so blessed to meet some of the warmest, kindest, caring people through this hobby. My love of dolls has allowed me to meet others that are like minded that live throughout the world. Pretty amazing!! One of those amazingly kind people recently sent this beautiful little girl to me as a surprise gift.
I have admired her for quite a while, and her previous owner knew that...........imagine my surprise when she showed up, unexpected on my doorstep a couple of days ago. There aren't words to express my gratitude. I was dumbstruck! So, on this Thanksgiving weekend, I just wanted to say how THANKFUL I am be in a hobby with so many wonderful people. Willow, this beautiful little Kish repaint by LN Harris, will be forever cherished in my collection, and every time I look at her I will remember her previous owner's generosity and friendship, smile and count my blessings.
