I received these 2 from Tonner's virtual factory sale. I knew I was going to get Rhett/Clark eventually as Gable was one of my favorites from Old Hollywood and GWTW is my favorite movie of all time. I also wanted one of the Joan dolls as I think she's one of the best character likenesses that Tonner has ever done, even though Joan Crawford wasn't one of my favorite actresses. At the price Tonner offered these 2 for in the factory sale I just couldn't resist. Thought I would take a few pics of Clark out of his costume, and since he did do several movies with Joan and they supposedly had a relationship at one time I thought it would be fun to take pics of the 2 of them together. I'm hoping to add Ava Gardner and Bette Davis at some point. I am really keeping my fingers crossed that Tonner will come out with Grace Kelly within the next year too!
Another revamp of this old blog, my first blog, concentrating on my 1/6 scale collection of dolls, although other dolls may make a random appearance from time to time. I have several other blogs with different types of dolls linked in the sidebar.

Lace........
Lace is my newest Kish kid. She's one of LN Harris' wonderful creations. I've admired LN's work with the Kish kids for so long, and when she posted this dark haired Tulah I just knew she was perfect for me. I love Tulah's sculpt, and have wanted one with dark hair for quite a while. I"m so glad to have Lace living here. Lace's hat is also by LN, and her outfit is by Janice Mundy.

Merry Christmas everyone!!!
Hope everyone out there is having a wonderful Christmas!! No new dolls for me under the tree, but hubby did get me a laptop. Yay!!! (And heaven knows with all the recent sales I've bought enough dolls on my own, LOL!) Speaking of recent sales, my haul from the Tonner's virtual factory sale came this week. Joan, Bon Voyage came first followed by Rhett in the white suit and Agent 99. I'm really happy with all of them. Agent 99 is so striking in person. Much lovlier than her promos IMHO. I"m calling her Anne, and decided to take a couple of pics of her to share. She is pictured here with my blonde Jeremy (also a fairly new arrival). Jeremy's sweater is from NadineUK. From my house to yours, Merry Christmas everyone out in doll land!!

24K............
Another Brenda Starr recently joined the fold. I can't help it................when I saw this girl, who had been switched to a BW body on ebay for a good price I just couldn't help but add her to my crew. I love Brenda. I have more factory Brenda's in my collection than any other sculpt. (Even though a majority of them have red hair and blue eyes, and quite a few are even on BA bodies). There is just something about that dimpled face that just really draws me in. I'm really sorry she's no longer being produced. This version of Brenda, called 24K, has gold hair and gold glitter in her eye shadow, making her very different from the rest of my Brenda's.

Dolly family Christmas pics.........
Took the second round of dolly family Christmas pics today. Thought I would share Mary and Jessamyn's family here for the day. Dad is Quinn, a repainted Russell by the fabulously talented Sonya Giddens. He's had a bit of resculpting work done too. Sonya really has a knack with the mandolls. Wish she had time to do more! Esme was enhanced by Gena Claire as I didn't like her original lip color. The girls dresses were made by the wonderfully talented Janice Mundy.

Christmas is coming.........
Christmas is coming faster than I want it to this year, LOL! So many photos I want to take, so little time (and daylight, can I say how much I hate daylight savings time....grrr........) to take them. I did manage to get a few photos of Zsu Zse with her family this past weekend. They decided to go with a brown/red theme to match Zsu Zse's dress. Dad is Bruce Wayne Batman and Mom is a repainted Mei Li by Jenise Mah that I call Ciara.

Serafina Pekkala........
A new girl arrived this past week. I had been eyeing Serafina Pekkala from the Golden Compass line, but I'd seen very few pics of her. Well, when Cherished Friends put her on sale last week I took a gamble and ordered her. I'm really glad I did. She has a really lovely sculpt. Her headsize is smaller too, more like the older Tonner molds. Lovely, soft, curls. She's a winner all around IMHO. It's always fun to add a new sculpt. This one is definetely a keeper!

Jessamyn......
A Kish baby joins the fold! I can't believe I caved and "went there", but I found a few clothes I had, that were actually made for the Kish babies that I used on one of my BJD's (that is no longer with me), and I have been wanting to expand Mary's family, so when I saw this adorable little Jessamyn on sale at a price I could afford I just hit the buy button. She arrived over the weekend and I'm so glad I got her. She is TOO cute. I even love her Kish outfit. Most of the Kish outfits just aren't my style (well, except for the Contempo series, I loved those clothes), but this little outfit is adorable!

DJ's arrival.......
DJ arrived the Wed before THanksgiving and I wanted to get some pics of him with Mowgli (who is VERY happy to have another little boy in the house, by the way!. I think they are going to be best friends, and maybe give the girls a hard way to go at times. Caught them enjoying themselves in the playroom today.

Black Friday with Gabi and Rico..........
My favorite couple braved the crowds and went out in search of some Christmas bargains today, LOL! Finally took some new pics of my favorite couple today. Rico and Gabi were the first couple I put together way back when I first started collecting repaints. They remain favorites with me today. Rico was painted by LN Harris and Gabi by DesignsbyMichele.
Breck
As some of you might know, Brenda is my favorite sculpt after Sydney. There is just something about those dimples and hint of a smile that has always drawn me to her. I have more Brenda factory dolls than any other sculpt, although Sydney runs a very close second. I also have more Brenda repaints (3) than any other sculpt (besides Matt). Breck was my first Brenda repaint, a former Golden Girl. I remember seeing her on LN Harris' site and praying that I emailed LN fast enough to bring her home, LOL! She has been upgraded to a BW body and remains one of my very favorites. I hadn't taken any new pics of her for a while, and since she was dressed in black, which was the Prego theme for today, I decided she deserved some new photos.

Happy Thanksgiving
Just wanted to take a minute on this Thanksgiving morning 2009 and give thanks. Foremost for my faith, my family and my friends, but in addition to those things, to this crazy hobby/obsession that is doll collecting. The internet has opened so many doors and ways to be able to share my love of dolls with other like minded people out there that actually "get it". My local doll group met because of the Prego doll board. I've met so many people that I feel priveledged to call friend through this wonderful hobby, so thanks to all of you out there that share your love of dolls through blogs, boards etc. It has enriched my life, and for that I'm thankful. Happy THanksgiving to all out there that celebrate. Blessings to you and your family and friends!

Tyler and Matt
Sharing a couple of my favorite factory dolls from the Wentworth line up today. As many of you know I'm particularly fond of the mandolls. That being said, most of them that come through my door go for a repaint at some point or another. This UB Matt being one of my exceptions. He is one of my very favorite factory dolls, and will remain as he came from the factory. When Tonner announced the plan to revamp Tyler last year I was a little skeptical. I liked the original Tyler mold. Sydney was still my favorite, but I still really liked the original Tyler. When the new sculpt for Tyler was released I liked her, but she's never been Tyler for me. I think they should have just named this mold something else. Now that they have reintroduced the original Tyler mold again, I'm hoping they keep "new" Tyler's sculpt in the line up and rename her something else, as I really do like it a lot. It is actually one of my favorite sculpts Tonner has done, she just doesn't seem like Tyler to me. This UB raven version of "Tyler" is probably my favorite of the dolls using this sculpt so far.

Bella............
I'm a huge fan of the Twilight books, so I was thrilled to hear Tonner had gotten the license for this series of dolls, and so far he hasn't disappointed. Can't wait to see James in December. I'm also really looking forward to Jacob! While I"m happy with the dolls the way they came from the factory, I did feel that Bella's curls were just too much, so I gave them a dunk this weekend to try and soften them up a bit. While they are better, I think she may be headed for another dunking soon, LOL! Since Bella's hair was a bit different in New Moon, I"m hoping another Bella will be released sans the crunchy curls.

One little, two little, three little indians.....
Three indians? Wait! There are 4 little indians here, LOL! I thought with Thanksgiving approaching, over the next few days I would share some of my Kish kids all ready to celebrate the holiday in their adorable pilgrim and indian costumes made by Janice Mundy. Today, I thought we would start out with the Indians. Mowgli informed the girls that since he was the only boy, he got the horse!

The Cuteness that is Kish
I was lucky enough to have gotten quite a bit of playtime this weekend. Since I hadn't taken a group shot of my Kish cuties in a while, I got the girls that didn't have pilgrim and indian outfits to wear for THanksgiving (those pics will be coming up later this week) dressed in their fall finery from Janice Mundy and took some studio type shots.
